The night was so clear that I could see the milky way. I know that it is nothing more than a nebulous cloudy shape that is slightly lighter than the surrounding black, but it is something that due to poor eyesight and a urban location is a rare treat.
A reminder that billions of stars were created and aligned just perfectly to create a small deviation of color in the night sky, just in case some hominid life developed in the western spiral arm.
